Rising river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the evening of 27 January 2026 , as a result of Storm Chandra.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers.
We are closely monitoring the situation . Rothbury floodgates will be closed at 6:00PM.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
