Flood alert for Tidal Fal Estuary

High tides and forecast weather conditions over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Areas particularly at risk include low lying areas in Falmouth, Penryn, Flushing, Mylor Bridge, the A39 at Perranarworthal, Devoran, Calenick, Truro and the A390 at Tresillian.
The high tide at Falmouth on Tuesday is at 19:33 and Wednesday at 07:50, times will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.68 and 2.51mAOD respectively. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.42 and 0.47 metres above tide table level. Strong force 5 SE and F6 SW winds with offshore wave heights of over 2-3m are forecast over the high tides.
