Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for West Cornwall Rivers

Flooding is possible on Thursday the 29th of February. Following rainfall overnight, river levels remain elevated. There is a risk of flooding to low lying land and roads close to the River Hayle throughout Thursday.

Take care near areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area clearing blockages.   

This message will be updated by 11am on Friday the 1st of March, or earlier if the situation changes.

Flood alert area: Penzance, Newlyn, Crowlas, Porthleven, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Portreath and Perranporth.
