Flooding is possible throughout the evening of Tuesday 15th April.

Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall and rivers across west Cornwall continue to rise.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight. Expected levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the River Hayle and the Bolingey Stream at Cocks Bridge this evening from around 10pm.

The main areas of concern are Penzance, Newlyn, Crowlas, Porthleven, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Portreath and Perranporth.

We expect rivers to remain high throughout the night and into Wednesday morning.

Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages.

This message will be updated by midday on Wednesday or earlier if the situation changes.
