Flood alert for West Cornwall Rivers

High river levels over the next three days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on Sunday 25 January and into Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th January.
River levels remain high following the heavy rainfall yesterday and overnight.
Whilst it will be mostly dry today, further bands of heavy rain are forecast from Monday afternoon and into Tuesday.
Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to respond.
We will issue further Flood Alerts and Flood Warnings as required.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 1:00pm on 26 January or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: Penzance, Newlyn, Crowlas, Porthleven, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Portreath and Perranporth.
