Flood alert for Plymouth Sound, Wembury Bay and tidal estuaries

High tides, strong winds and large waves tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible over Thursday morning's high tide. 

Areas particularly at risk include exposed coastal areas of Plymouth Sound, and low-lying areas on the Tidal Lynher, Tamar, Tavy, Plym and Yealm estuaries.

The high tide at Plymouth on Thursday morning is at 06:57 AM, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.66mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.2 and 0.3 metres above tide table level. Strong Force 4 North Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of up to 3m are forecast over the high tide.

Coastal conditions should ease for Thursday evening's high tide.
