Flood alert for South Cornwall coast from Lizard Point to Gribbin Head excluding the Tidal Fal Estuary

High tides, strong winds and large waves tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible over Thursday morning's high tide. 

Areas particularly at risk include low lying coastal communities.

The high tide at Falmouth on Thursday morning is at 06:18 AM, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.55mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.1 and 0.2 metres above tide table level. Strong Force 4 North-Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of around 2.6m are forecast over the high tide.

Coastal conditions should ease for Thursday evening's high tide.

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .

Flood alert area: Lizard Point to Gribbin Head including Coverack, the tidal Helford Estuary, Falmouth, St Mawes, Gorran Haven, Portmellon, Mevagissey, Pentewan and Par.
