Flood warning for South Cornwall coast from Gribbin Head to Rame Head

High tides are expected to cause flooding over the next two days.  

Flooding is expected 2 hours either side of high tide on Wednesday pm and Thursday am tides.  

Locations most affected will be Fowey, Lostwithiel, Polperro, Looe, Millendreath, B3247 at Seaton.

High tide at Plymouth on Wednesday is at 5:21pm and 5:44am on Thursday. Forecast total high tide levels are 2.97mAOD and 2.93mAOD respectively. Expect tide levels to be around 0.4m above tide table level. Force 4 South Easterly winds and offshore wave heights of 2.6m are forecast over Wednesday pm tide, easing to Force 3 South Easterly and offshore wave heights of 1.8m on Thursday am tide. Coastal conditions should ease by Thursday pm tide.

Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded
