Flood warning for South Cornwall coast from Gribbin Head to Rame Head

High tides are expected to cause flooding over the next two days.

Flooding is expected on the mornings of Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 5 February.

Areas at risk include Fore Street, Town Quay, Albert Quay and Caffa Mill Car park at Fowey, Quay Street and Recreation ground at Lostwithiel, Polperro Harbour, Quay Road and The Quay at Looe and the B3247 at Seaton. High tides of concern at Plymouth are: Wednesday 07:24 and Thursday 08:00, times of high water vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide levels are set to peak at 3.01mAOD on Wednesday morning. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.48 and 0.51 metres above tide table level. Moderate force 5 SE winds and offshore wave heights of up to 2.5m are forecast.

Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded and activate any flood protection products you may have.
