High tides this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tides on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
Areas particularly at risk include Torbay, Teignmouth, Beesands, Torcross, Slapton and Dawlish. Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths. The high tide at Teignmouth on Tuesday evening is at 9:15pm, times of high water will vary along the coast. The forecast total high tide level is 2.62mAOD, which is 0.43 metres above tide table level. Strong force 5-6, south easterly winds and offshore wave heights of over 1m are forecast over the high tide. Similar coastal conditions are expected for Wednesday morning's high tide at 9:30am, with a slightly lower tide level.
