Flood warning for River Axe (Mid) at Axminster

High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. 

Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 . 

Heavy rain falling in the area will continue overnight.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 05:00AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are around Stoney bridge Cottages and House, The Old Farmhouse, Blackhakes Farm, Westcrete, Castle Hill Farm development. . Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be high throughout the morning. 

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 

Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
