Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Flooding is expected in the early hours of Sunday morning, 24 November. Heavy rain falling in the South Devon area will continue throughout Sunday. This is causing the River Bovey to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the day.

Properties and low lying areas around Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road, will start to flood first as river levels rise.

Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated by 12pm on Sunday or earlier if the situation changes.

Flood warning area: properties and roads in Bovey Tracey and Heathfield including St John's Lane, Station Road, Newton Road, Brook Close and Waterside.
