Flood alert for River Yeo and Parrett, The Levels

Forecast rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the evening of 20 January 2026 .
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Yeo, River Parrett, Kings Sedgemoor Drain, River Sowy, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the road at south end of Westover Trading Estate floods to an unknown depth. There is a risk of flooding to properties at Westover Trading Estate at Langport. Further rain, possibly heavy, is forecast for tomorrow and we expect rivers to respond.
We are closely monitoring the situation and clearing blockages from debris screens.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.

Flood alert area: Low lying land within the Levels including Langport, Burrowbridge, Othery, Westonzoyland to the M5.
