Water levels remain high on the River Parrett and surrounding moors. Dry weather forecast for the days ahead. Low lying land and roads are expected to still be most affected by flooding. Please refer to the latest gauge levels on Check for Flooding and Somerset Council’s website for information on road closures in the area. We continue to rainfall and river levels. And we are pumping and operating the (Sowy) Parrett Relief Channel when river levels allow. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 27 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: Low lying land within the Levels including Langport, Burrowbridge, Othery, Westonzoyland to the M5.
