Flood alert for River Biss catchment

Rain is expected through to Sunday evening, which will cause river levels to rise over the next couple of days.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Biss, Paxcroft Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Westbury Road (A363) at Yarnbrook, Hawkeridge Road at Horse Bridge, Shallow Wagon Lane at Heywood and West Ashton Road at Trowbridge.

Flooding is possible through Sunday and into Monday with Flood Warnings may be issued in this Flood Alert Area

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
