Flood alert for North Somerset area

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding as a result of rainfall associated with storm Bert. No property flooding is expected.

Flooding is possible from 20:15 on 24/11/2024, and is forecast to affect locations near the Congresbury Yeo, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around roads at Wrington and Iwood.

Rainfall has mainly passed out of the area but there could still be the odd heavy shower. We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Please remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions, and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Don't put yourself or others at risk.

This message will be updated by 2:00 PM on 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
