Flood warning for River Tone from Waterrow to Taunton

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected from the morning of 27 January 2026 from 7:45 onwards. 

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Tone, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Areas most at risk include Waterrow Bridge to Silk Mills Bridge including Tracebridge, Greenham, Kittisford, Wellisford, Harpford, Tonedale and Lowmoor Industrial Estates, Tone Green, Longaller and other low lying properties and roads. 

We are closely monitoring the situation and Field Teams are checking rivers for blockages. 

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
