Flood warning for Salt Moor and North Moor including Moorland

Rising water levels are expected to cause flooding tomorrow, Tuesday 28/01/2026.

Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads around Moorland including Horlake, Saltmoor, Fordgate and Chadmead.

Currymoor is still rising from Monday night’s rainfall. Athelney spillway is still running and we are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor. Additional pumping capacity is being added.

Showers are expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday, with blustery showers forecast on Thursday and Friday which may be heavy at times.

We are closely monitoring the situation.
