Flood warning for River Parrett (lower) at Langport Westover Trading Estate

The level in the Westover Drain is falling slowly but levels remain high. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Parrett at Langport, with low lying land and roads most affected. Areas most at risk include Cheapside, Whatley Mews, Parrett Close, Bow Street, Moor Park and Westover Trading Estate. Pumping operations at Westover have begun and will continue whilst river levels allow. Huish Episcopi station will pump once river levels allow. We are using the Parrett Relief Channel as river levels and water levels on the moors allow. Sunday (15/2/26) will be a showery day and these showers may be heavy at times. The showery theme will continue through Monday with a drier outlook currently forecast for Tuesday. We are closely monitoring the situation, checking flood banks and spillways. Act on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 1PM on 16/02/2026, or as the situation changes
