The level in the Westover Drain is 8.33 m and stable today, Monday 9 February 2026. The Westover Trading Estate access road is flooded, and estate businesses may flood if water levels exceed 8.35m AOD. Other areas at risk, if levels continue to rise, include Cheapside, Whatley Mews, Parrett Close, Bow Street and Moor Park. For the latest river and drain levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels. We are unable to pump due to high river levels but will start when those conditions allow. A band of persistent rain, at times heavy, is forecast through the afternoon and evening of today. Tuesday sees further bands of rainfall arriving from the southwest although totals are expected to be lower than on Monday. Catchments are saturated and rivers are very responsive to rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation and have been checking debris screens, flood banks and spillways. Keep aware of local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 1pm on Tuesday 10 February 2026, or as the situation changes.
