Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected from the evening of 18 December 2025 .
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Parrett, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the River Parrett downstream of Gawbridge and fields at Thorney and Kingsbury Episcopi.
Flooding is expected from 6:30PM this evening as river levels are continuing to rise following the rainfall today. Further showers are forecast overnight but drier weather is expected on Friday. River levels are expected to peak later this evening before falling again early Friday morning.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing blockages from debris screens.
Activate any flood protection products you may have and avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
