Flood warning for Groundwater flooding for the Pimperne Brook

High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. 

Flooding is expected from 24 January 2026 onwards. 

The groundwater level at the Iwerne Hill Farm borehole is rising in response to recent heavy rainfall and will continue to do so as more rain is forecast. Flooding of roads and some properties, especially basements is expected. Residents should deploy any property resilience measures such as pumps, flood barriers and air brick covers. 

We are closely monitoring the situation .
