Flood warning for River Wey from Upwey to Weymouth

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. 

Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 due to heavy rainfall. 

Areas most at risk include River Wey from Upwey to Weymouth including Church Street, Little Mead, Nottington Lane, Nottington Farm and Almas Palace. Heavy overnight rain has caused river levels to rise rapidly. Further rain is forecast through the night and into Tuesday 27 January. 

We are closely monitoring the situation .
