Flood warning for Lower Stour at Jumpers Common and A35 Iford Bridge area, Christchurch

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected on 28th and 29th January 2026 . 

Areas most at risk include River Glade, Dukesfield, Squirrels Cl, Stour Way, Links Dr, Burford Cl, Cedar Av, Chestnut Av, Beech Av, Sycamore Cl, River Way, Hurn Way, Wilton Cl, Stourcroft Dr, Crossways, De Redvers Court, Oak Av, The Grove and Stourvale Ave in Christchurch. Further rain is forecast for the next two days. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals Don't put yourselves or others at risk.
