Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 25 January 2026 due to overnight rain. Areas most at risk include Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton, Druce, Puddletown, Athelhampton, Affpuddle, Briantspuddle, Throop and Wareham including Purbeck View Park. Further rain is forecast for the afternoon of 26 January into 27 January which combined with rising groundwater will keep river levels high. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.
