Between 15-30mm of rain is forecast through the early hours of Wednesday (27/11/24). There remains uncertainty, but if as much rain falls as predicted, minor flooding could be possible. From 08:00 on 27/11/2024, minor flooding could affect a few gardens of properties in Langney Green. Fields and parkland including Shinewater Park might also be affected. Almost no rainfall is predicted on Wednesday afternoon, through to the weekend. The river through Langney should begin to fall by 23:00 on 27/11/2024, however river levels are likely to remain higher than normal until next week. River levels could end up similar to their height at the start of October 2024. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed at Langney Green, if you have them. We are operating our structures at Fence Bridge and Crumbles Gate to help keep the river flowing freely and reduce flood risk. We will update this message by 19:00 on 27/11/2024
