The River Ouse is high. Near Barcombe river levels are still rising. Nearer Ardingly river levels are already falling. Minor flooding will continue to affect fields and roads near Bridge Cottage on the B2028, Sloop Lane, Fletching Mill Bridge, Sharpsbridge, Anchor Lane, and Barcombe Mills Road. Flood water will be very close to the Anchor Inn from 12:00 19/02/2026, and potentially affect gardens in Barcombe Mills. Only isolated showers are forecast Thursday, Friday, and over the weekend. River levels should begin to fall by 15:00 19/02/2026 in Barcombe, and will continue to fall near Ardingly. River levels should return near to normal by Friday evening. However, unsettled weather could continue throughout February, so further periods of flood risk possible. We are operating structures at Pimms Lock and Barcombe to reduce flood risk. Avoid roads that flood, including Barcombe Mills Road. This message will be updated by 20:00 20/02/2026.
