High river levels on Saturday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 24 January 2026 , as a lot of rain (22mm) fell on Wednesday (21/01/26).
Flooding is affecting low lying land, roads, cycle tracks and footpaths close to the river. Flooding could affect Golf Links Road and Moreton Common Road. Ditches around Fort Holiday Park will struggle to drain while river levels are high. Rain is forecast on Saturday (24/01/26) afternoon and into the evening. Only Isolated showers are likely on Sunday (25/01/26) and on Monday (26/01/26), however, on Tuesday (27/01/26), heavy rain is forecast again. River levels and flood risk are likely to remain high for the week ahead as a result.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and operating Bembridge sluices.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car.
