Flood alert for Lymington River

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

The River Lymington at Brockenhurst remains high, following 32 mm of rain which was recorded at Brockenhurst yesterday. Today (Sunday 24/11/2024), flooding of land and roads is expected to continue. The water level in the river is currently falling. However, further rain (10-20mm) is forecast in Hampshire before Storm Bert finally clears the area. If rain impacts the river, then it will rise in response, but given the forecast totals, we do not currently expect it to cause property flooding. We continue to monitor the forecast and will ensure the river remains free of any reported blockages. Watersplashes will remain deep over the next 24 hours, please do not drive through floodwater. This Flood Alert will be updated by 13:00 on Monday 25/11/2024.

Flood alert area: River Lymington including Brockenhurst.
