Flood warning for Monktonmead Brook at St Johns

High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Sunday. 

Flooding is expected on 01 February 2026 from 20:30 as a lot of rain (33mm) fell on 01/02/2026. 

Flooding will affect depot, tracks, and station buildings at St John's Station. Water on the tracks could be up to 0.5m deep.

Rain is forecast to continue until 22:00 01/02/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce by 02:00 02/02/2026. 

We are closely monitoring the situation and keeping the Monktonmead Brook clear of blockages. 

Activate any flood protection products you may have . Move vehicles from low lying land next to the river.
