High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Monday.

Flooding is expected on 02 February 2026 from 10:30, as a lot of rain (40mm) fell on Sunday.

Flooding will affect Moreton Common and Golf Links roads. Fort Holiday Park and Sandown Sewage works could flood as ditches struggle to drain to the main river. Impacts are also expected at Nicholas Close, Brading. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday. River levels in Sandown should begin to fall Monday afternoon. However, on Tuesday (03/02/2026), another 30mm is forecast. River levels and flood risk will remain high Monday through to Wednesday, potentially for the rest of the week.

We are checking rivers for blockages , and operating Bembridge sluices.
