Flood warning for Lindfield Bridge on the River Ouse

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected on 15 January 2026 from 22:00, as a lot of rain (27mm) fell on Thursday. 

Flooding will affect fields, rural roads, gardens and affect properties at Bridge Cottage and Dean's Water Mill at Lindfield Bridge on the B2028 near Lindfield. River levels could peak higher than 19/12/2025. Rain is forecast to ease from 20:30. Only isolated showers are forecast Friday to Monday. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce at Lindfield Bridge by 04:00 16/01/2026. River levels should return nearer to normal by Friday afternoon 16/01/2026. 

We are closely monitoring the situation operating our structure at Pimms Lock. 

Activate any flood protection products you may have . Including at Lindfield Bridge and Dean's Water Mill, if you have them.
