Flood warning for South Hayling and South Eastoke seafront

High tides are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected for 2 hours either side of Monday morning's tide at 11:30 on 02/02/2026. 

The shingle beach at Eastoke Corner has been impacted by high energy waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.26 m. The total forecast tide is 5.03 metres Chart Datum (2.30 mAOD) at Portsmouth. Light Easterly Force 4 wind. Water could push further up the beach than normal. Property at Eastoke corner, near the nature reserve, and at Southwood Road may flood. Overtopping of splash walls along the beach front may flood gardens. Beach huts at West Beach, near the Inn on the beach may also be affected. Monday's tide at 23:45 02/02/2026 is forecast to be 3 cm lower (2.27 mAOD). 

We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities who assess beach condition. 

Activate any flood protection products you may have . Avoid South Hayling seafront. Shingle can be thrown by wind and waves.
