Forecast high river levels this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 03 February 2026 overnight and into Wednesday 04 February 2026.
Further forecast rainfall this afternoon and into this evening combined with the high tide tonight may cause flooding. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers, particularly around Yalding, Wateringbury and East Farleigh but particularly at Lockmeadow and the underpasses at Maidstone Town Centre.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .

Flood alert area: River Medway from Hampstead Lock at Yalding to Allington Lock, including East Farleigh, Wateringbury, Teston and Teston Park, Tovil and Maidstone including Millennium Park.
