Flood alert for Shuttle and Cray

Rising river levels this morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the morning of 02 June 2026 from approximately 6:00 AM.
Locations most affected will be low lying land, gardens and roads close to local watercourses, including the River Shuttle and River Cray. Heavy rainfall that has fallen overnight is expected to continue this morning, 02 June 2026, with further showers also possible throughout the rest of today which may cause river levels to rise further. We are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to issue Flood Warnings if required.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking watercourses for blockages.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and avoid any low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

Flood alert area: River Cray from St Mary's Cray to Crayford, including Hall Place and the River Shuttle from Blackfen through Sidcup to Old Bexley including Lamorbey Park.
