Flood alert for River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock

High river levels may lead to flooding.

Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected, especially in the Woodstock areas. Predominantly light rain is expected over the next 48 hours, which may be heavy at times. River levels on the River Evenlode are rising but are expected to stabilise today. Levels on the River Glyme remain high. River levels will be sensitive to further rainfall.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.

Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River levels online for updates on current river levels.

Flood alert area: River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington including, Kingham, Bledington, Milton under Wychwood, Shipton under Wychwood, Ascott under Wychwood, Charlbury, Fawler and Long Hanborough and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock.
