"High river levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 13 December 2025, especially in the Woodstock area along the River Glyme. The forecast is for a dry day and night. River levels have fallen below the flood risk threshold on the River Evenlode, but remain high and falling slowly on the River Glyme. We expect levels on the River Glyme to remain high over the coming days.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

Flood alert area: River Evenlode from Moreton in Marsh to Cassington including, Kingham, Bledington, Milton under Wychwood, Shipton under Wychwood, Ascott under Wychwood, Charlbury, Fawler and Long Hanborough and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock.
