Flood alert for River Thames at Trowlock Island

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are forecast to rise on the River Thames due to high tides. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is possible later this evening and overnight on Trowlock Island. The next high tide is at 04:45am, on 29/03/2024, and is not forecast to reach the flood alert threshold. The following high tide is at 17:15pm, on 29/03/24, and the peak is forecast to reach between 4.90m and 5.03m. Further rainfall, which may be heavy at times, is forecast over the next 48 hours. Our staff are managing weirs on the River Thames to reduce flood risk. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
