Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
Rising groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible over the coming days.
Groundwater levels are currently high and rising at our Draycott borehole in the Upper Og Valley. We expect levels to rise over the coming days and levels remain sensitive to further rainfall.
The forecast is for showers clearing this afternoon to leave a predominantly dry night and day tomorrow. Further showers are expected over the weekend and into next week. Depending on the rainfall received over the coming days, we may see localised impacts from 25 January 2026. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
