Flood warning for River Welland in Harringworth

Heavy rain has fallen in the River Welland catchment. This is causing the River Welland to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through Monday 25th November. Low lying areas are already flooded and we now expect properties close to the River Welland and tributaries to be affected through the afternoon. Properties on Mill Road and Gretton Road in the Harringworth area are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 26/11/24 or before if the situation changes.

Flood warning area: River Welland in Harringworth including isolated cottages south of Lyddington, and properties near the river on Seaton Road and Gretton Road in Harringworth.
