High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026 River levels continue to be high following yesterday's rain.
Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas on the River Gipping between Needham Market train station and Ipswich Boss Hall Industrial Estate, including Great Blakenham, Claydon, Bramford and Sproughton. The weather forecast is improving, and we expect levels to start returning to normal soon.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
