Flood warning for River Trent at Alkborough Flats

River levels have risen at the Keadby river gauge as a result of high spring tides. Flooding is possible at the high tide this evening 28/04/25 and 29/04/2025 tide. Areas most at risk are the Alkborough Flats. The Keadby river gauge is forecast to overtop the lower spillway and result in flooding.
River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecasted.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water.
