Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
River levels upstream of Blithfield Reservoir and on the Swarbourn are decreasing, but levels along the downstream section of the Blithe around Hamstall Ridware are still rising. Therefore, flooding remains likely throughout Friday and into Saturday 20 December 2025.
Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Blithe between Blythe Bridge and Nethertown and on the River Swarbourne between Hoar Cross and Yoxall. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals . Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. And stay aware in case further warnings are issued.
