River levels are rising at the Bournville Woodbrook Road river gauge as a result of Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding is imminent. We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Rea between Longbridge and Nechells including Northfield, Kings Norton, Lifford, Stirchley, Selly Park and Digbeth

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high today 24/11/24.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
