Flood warning for River Stour at Mitford Bridge, Shipston on Stour and Tredington

River levels are rising at the Shipston river gauge as a result of Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding is imminent. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in the Mitford Bridge in Shipston on Stour and Tredington areas including Burmington, Tidmington, Barcheston, Brailes Road Industrial Estate and Church Street and Mill Street.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to rise until 12:00 on 24/11/24.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast and checking defences.

Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
