River levels are falling but remain high today which may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 31 January 2026. Flooding may affect low lying land and Squires Walk in the area of the Hatfield Brook Kempsey. Kempsey Flood Alleviation Scheme is operational. Measured peaks:- Kempsey Yacht Club peaked at 6.05m at 18:45, Wednesday 28 January 2026. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 1 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
