River levels remain high due to recent rainfall. Further rainfall is forecast over the weekend, and the risk of flooding continues. Flooding is possible on 07 December 2025. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley. Roads between Maesbrook, Melverley and Pentre start to flood. Peaks:- Llanymynech at 4.2m to 4.3 07/12 AM, Cae Howel 4.2m to 4.5m 08/12 PM. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 08 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
