Flood warning for River Severn in North Worcester

River levels are rising at the Worcester (Barbourne) river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected this evening, Monday 25/11/2024. We expect flooding to affect Newport Street, Park View Terrace, The Butts and King Stephen's Mount. Predicted Peak:- Worcester 4.6m to 5.1m.

Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the coming days.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.

Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
