Flooding is possible on 14 November 2025 .
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads around the Rivers Goyt, Tame, Sett and Etherow and their tributaries.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .

Flood alert area: The Mersey Uplands catchment includes Rivers Goyt, Tame, Sett and Etherow and their tributaries. Other locations which may be affected are around Saddleworth, Mossley, New Mills, Hazel Grove, Marple, Romiley and Hyde.
