Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. Flooding is expected on 04 November 2025 from 4:30AM. Locations most affected will be low lying land next to the river Greta and Derwent Water. We expect the rain to ease off after 12PM on Tuesday 04 November with the river levels peaking below 3m, at Keswick Campsite gauging station, before lunchtime. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 04 November 2025 or as the situation changes.
Flood warning area: Low lying roads, residential, commercial properties & campsite in Keswick adjacent to the rivers Greta & Derwent including Greta Park Rugby Football Ground, Keswick Campsite, Keswick School Sports Field, Keswick Show Field & Playing Field areas.
