River levels are rising on Wortley Beck due to heavy rainfall throughout Saturday 23rd November from Storm Bert as well as melt water due to rising temperature. River levels are rising as a result and flooding is possible.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Wortley Beck, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Wortley Beck, Farnley Beck, Farnley Wood Beck and Millshaw Beck.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads near rivers.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
