The risk of flooding has now reduced, and rivers have fallen below levels of concern, but will remain sensitive to further rainfall. We will continue to monitor the situation and issue any further updates as necessary.
Flood alert area: Riverside footpaths and low-lying land in York and to the south as far as Naburn Lock, including Kings Staith, Queens Staith, and South Esplanade.
