Flood alert for North Sea coast at Withernsea, Easington and Kilnsea

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Flooding is possible between 07:30 - 08:30am on Wednesday 10/09/2025. High tides, strong winds and large waves tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. Areas most at risk are coastal roads and footpaths around Spurn Point. We are closely monitoring the situation.

Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. We are entering a period of high astronomic tides, with unsettled weather conditions for the next few days, so this alert may be re-issued if required.

This message will be updated by 9:00am on 10/09/2025, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: The North Sea coast from Mappleton to Spurn Point.
