Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Higher than normal tides, large waves and spray overtopping early tomorrow morning (Monday, 18/11/2024) may lead to flooding on the Northumberland Coast.

Tides will be at their highest at 04:30 AM on 18/11/2024 with wave overtopping possible during this time. High tide conditions can apply two to four hours either side of a high tide.

Areas most at risk include low lying land, roads and footpaths at Alnmouth River Footpath, Beadnell Harbour Road North and Newbiggin Bay North Promenade.

Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 18/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
