Flood warning for North Sea at Roker, Sunderland

Higher than normal tides, large waves and spray overtopping early tomorrow morning (Monday, 18/11/2024) may lead to flooding at North Sea at Roker, Sunderland.

Tides will be at their highest between 03:30 AM and 05:30 AM on 18/11/2024 with wave overtopping possible during this time. High tide conditions can apply two to four hours either side of a high tide.

Areas most at risk include Properties including the Amusement Arcades and Grannie Annies.

We are closely monitoring the situation and checking flood defences.

Avoid beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths, which may be flooded.
