Flood alert for River Plym and Tory Brook

High river levels throughout the evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 11 November 2025 .
Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the River Plym, Tory Brook and Long Brook from around 9pm on the evening of Tuesday 11 November and remain high overnight into Wednesday 12 November.
The main areas of concern are low lying riverside locations at Plympton and Marsh Mills.
Heavy and persistent rainfall is expected this afternoon and overnight.
River levels are expected to rise in response to the rainfall, however, no flooding to properties is currently forecast.
We are clearing blockages from debris screens and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 12 November 2025 or as the situation changes.
